The New England Chapter of the American Dance Therapy Association
This scholarship fund was founded in the memory of Penny Parker Lewis, Ph.D., a dedicated pioneer of the dance/movement therapy community. She profoundly influenced the lives of her many students, clients and colleagues. Seperate from membership dues, the scholarship fund is supported by the NEADTA spring conference, merchandise sold and general contributions. If you would like to help Dr. Lewis’ legacy live on, please support the scholarship through the purchase of NEADTA merchandise or a general donation.
This fund helps offset the cost of the ADTA's national conference by paying for full or partial student registrations. In order to be eligible for this scholarship you must currently be a Dance/Movement Therapy student at either Antioch University New England or Lesley University. Two scholarship recipients are chosen through a blind essay contest. The Penny Lewis Student Scholarship recipients will each receive a paid conference registration for the ADTA national conference. Their essays will be posted in the NEADTA Newsletter and on this website!
